Pizza
- Take your dough balls out of the fridge around 20 mins before you start.
- Find a clean and dry work surface.
- Dust work surface with the flour.
- Press and stretch the dough ball out with your hands / fingertips to make a 10” pizza base.
- Preheat the grill at its highest temperature.
- Place a frying pan (big enough for the pizza base – ideally non-stick) on a high heat on the stove.
- Once the pan is very hot place the pizza base into a completely dry pan.
- Spoon on and swirl the tomato sauce.
- Drizzle the olive oil, sprinkle the parmesan, grated mozzarella, basil leaves and any other toppings.
- Cook on the stove on a high heat.
- Check every 20 / 30 seconds under the pizza with a spatula, when golden brown (around 2 mins).
- Slide Pizza from the pan onto a baking tray and place under the grill until all the cheese has melted and the crust is golden brown (ensure if you have a frying pan with a plastic handle it is not under the grill).
- Your pizza will be very hot! Slide out of the pan onto a chopping board, cut into slices and enjoy your work!
